Ethos

Good design is not decoration. It is the result of understanding a space completely, including its structure, its constraints and its potential, and resolving every element against that understanding.

I work to a single standard regardless of scale. Whether a principal suite or a complete residence, each decision is considered and nothing is left unresolved.

Approach

Every project begins by understanding two things equally: what the client needs and what the space is capable of. These are never treated separately. The brief shapes the architecture, and the architecture informs the brief.

The work focuses on refining how a space is configured, how it flows and how each room relates to the next. The aim is not to impose a new look, but to resolve the space so it feels coherent, considered and inevitable.

Services

  • Spaces are developed architecturally in full, establishing layout, proportion, ceiling treatments and bespoke joinery.

Drawings are produced to a level that supports coordination with structure and services, enabling accurate pricing and clear execution on site.

  • Materials and finishes are developed as part of the architecture, not applied afterwards.

All elements are specified and coordinated to ensure consistency, buildability and accurate pricing prior to construction.

Lighting is developed in collaboration with specialist designers, ensuring it is fully integrated with the architectural intent.

  • During construction, I act as the interface between the design and its execution, reviewing information, attending site and coordinating with consultants and contractors.

The design intent is carried through each stage, ensuring what is built reflects what was resolved.

The Process

  • Each project begins with a focused review of the brief and existing conditions, establishing what the space offers and where its potential lies.

The layout is analysed to identify inefficiencies, opportunities for improved circulation and areas where spatial clarity can be strengthened.

  • The spatial strategy is developed into a clear architectural proposal, defining layout, proportion, ceiling treatments and bespoke joinery.

The design is progressed to a level that supports coordination with structure and services, ensuring it can be carried forward without ambiguity.

Collaboration

Delivering interior architecture at this level requires more than design ability. It requires knowing how to work within a professional team and how to lead within one.

Experience across London’s leading design practices has shown that strong outcomes are always the result of well-aligned teams. Clients, architects, engineers and contractors working toward a shared objective.

I work as the interior architecture lead within that team. The client has one point of contact for the interior. Everyone else coordinates through me.
